He specializes in building world-class production infrastructure, streamlining regulatory compliance and scaling high-throughput manufacturing operations. His deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, product development and regulatory frameworks positions JKCL for long-term success across domestic and global markets. Prior coming on the board of JKCL, Mr. Pawar managed businesses across Real Estate, FMCG, Packaging and Agri-Processing and has has delivered exemplary high impact results in complex, regulated environments.

With a background in consumer psychology, nurturing start-ups to growth, Mr. Kunal Gupta Kunal as the Promoter & Board Director of JKCL is leading JKCL’s domestic & international expansion initiatives. A firm believer in cultural relevance and digital-led distribution, Mr. Gupta is spearheading JKCL’s evolution into a multi-brand, consumer-facing business house. His expertise lies in developing brands that resonate with India’s youth while staying rooted in compliance and quality. Mr. Gupta has previously built and scaled multiple D2C and B2B ventures in the consumer goods and education sectors. With his bold, disruptive thinking Mr. Gupta is the driving force behind JKCL’s brand vision and he ensures JKCL remains ahead of the curve in product innovation, packaging and business growth through collaborations & acquisitions.
Managing Director
With close to three decades of experience in the industry, Mr. Sougat Chatterjee as the MD & CEO is leading the overall business operations of JKCL. Mr. Chatterjee is a distinguished Industry Leader, Startup Mentor, Academic Advisor, Keynote Speaker and Humanitarian, renowned for his contributions to the healthcare and consumer retail sectors. He is a Mentor at Niti Aayog, Committee Member CII - Health Panel and is also on Board of Educational Institutions, business conglomerates and start-ups in healthtech, wellbeing, and consumer care sectors. Over the years Mr. Chatterjee has held leadership positions across organisations like Apollo Hospitals as CEO of Preventive Health, Dalmia Lifecare as CEO & President, Piramal, Dabur, Ranbaxy. Successfully Co-founded and exited Abhay Ventures & Abhay Health and also serves as Independent Director for a few companies. Passionate about delivering results, adept in people management, process excellence and productivity enhancement, Mr. Chatterjee deals in honest realism, works on growth insights and loves inspiring.
